8/16/23 — Began prep at 5:30 PM. Cooking started at 6:00 PM and finished around 6:57 PM.
2/1/24 — Potatoes started at 5:23 PM. Simmered from 6:24 PM–6:44 PM.
3/16/24 — Slow cooker worked well, but the cream cheese remained spotty.
What We’ve Learned
- Cube the cream cheese so it melts more evenly.
- Shred your own cheddar for the smoothest soup.
- If using the slow cooker, stir thoroughly after adding dairy.
